Education and Training
Dr. Boutros earned her Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, San Diego. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Toronto. She has worked with clients across the lifespan in both short- and long-term therapy, with experience in crisis settings and treating severe mental illness.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic, behavioral, and emotion-focused therapies, all within a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework. Her work is guided by the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives—and that therapy is a collaborative space for insight, growth, and healing.
A Collaborative and Culturally Sensitive Approach
Dr. Boutros is an integrative therapist who tailors her work to each client’s unique identity and lived experience. Coming from a family of immigrants and holding multiple minority identities herself, she understands the complexities of navigating cultural transitions and life stage changes. Her culturally informed perspective allows her to work alongside clients as they move through questions of identity, belonging, and adaptation with compassion and understanding.
She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective therapy. “The best therapy happens when there is an open, trusting relationship,” she shares. She understands her role in helping her clients feel safe enough to explore the parts of themselves that feel stuck or unseen.
“You Are Stronger Than You Think”
Dr. Boutros wants her clients to know that therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating. She understands that the therapeutic process can be challenging while, simultaneously, deeply rewarding. Her goal is to create a space where you can show up authentically, work through stuck points, and begin to recognize just how capable and resilient you are.
She values authenticity, humor, and connection in her work and looks forward to partnering with clients who are ready to take the next step toward healing and self-discovery.
Dr. Boutros is a Postdoctoral Resident supervised by licensed psychologist Dr. Bethany Harris. She is currently accepting new clients and offers both in-person and telehealth sessions.
